We were so pleased holding the competition and supporting people in their creative work, that we couldnâ€™t help but organize one more. This time the theme of the contest will be as follows: “Weapon”. We believe this topic is attention deprived on the Internet as regards 3D graphics. What a pity! Nowadays no game goes without a gun or machine-gun. Furthermore, the field for inventing new concepts is so wide that there is no need even to talk about it. Just remember all these fantasy books and movies where the characters have a very interesting weaponry, which is the part of their image.
Therefore, we are sure that this competition will be of much interest first of all for primarily game developers, character designers and weapon fans.
Conditions for participation in the competition are very simple:
The work must be performed in any 3D program and rendered in any 3D renderers.
Work should have never been published anywhere before.
It should look awesome and creative. Donâ€™t forget that realism is also a kind of creative work, so donâ€™t think that we donâ€™t like the look of a real weapon.
All works will be placed in a special gallery where anyone will be able to vote for the favorite render. At the end of the competition and the jury of the sponsors together with Humster3D community will choose three winners. Deadline: 27 May, 2014 (00:00 GMT). The winners will be announced during a week.

For all participants of our competition KeyShot offers a trial version of the renderer (without watermarks), that may help you perform your work. So to speak, try and test it in battle! We believe you will get excellent results. You just need to write an e-mail on email@example.com with “KeyShot Humpster3D Challenge” in the subject line. You will receive a license for use in the contest.
The work should be performed in any of 3D rendering programs. Post-processing in Adobe Photoshop or in any other 2D animation program is allowed. But you are to name all the tools you have used while post-processing when sending us the work.
We are waiting for your works from the 25th of March, 2014 until the 27th of May, 2014. The winners will be announced within one week, after Humster3D team together with site community and sponsors take the decision. Works, submitted after the 27th of May, are not going to participate in the competition.
The works you are sending are to be your own works which you have never published anywhere before. You can use someone else's 3D models or textures, but in such a case you should indicate your sources. We accept to the competition only high-quality works with no sexual, cruel or brutal elements. We reserve the right not to accept your work to the competition at our own discretion. In case of violation of these rules, the work will be immediately excluded from participation in the contest.
As soon as we receive your work, we will answer you within 24 hours (from Monday to Friday). When your work is published you will receive an e-mail with a direct link to your work on our site. If you don't like the design of your work or you decide to take your work out of the competition for some other reasons, you can send us a request, but no later than during 24 hours after the publication.
You can use both real weapon adopted by any army in the world and completely imaginary weapon. It can also be a concept, an idea taken from a book or movie. We are sure that weapon of a famous super hero will also be a great solution. The most important: still, donâ€™t forget that your render must have an artistic value.
It doesn't matter the amount of polygons. Your render is the most important thing. It would be great if you think out how to present your weapon, find interesting angles and invent a legend. DonÂ´t hurry up to send us your work if it is half-done, search for some ways to make it unique among the other. We are looking forward to receive your renders!
